| 1¡¢Introduction |
| ¡¡¡¡Three phase secondary rectifier DC welding is used where high quality weld is the first priority. It can weld a wide range of materials, such as aluminum alloys, titanium alloys, low carbon steel, stainless steel, heat resistant alloy steel, and is widely implemented in aircraft, aerospace and nuclear industries. Three phase control has the advantage of distributing the load evenly across all three phases. There are also numerous benefits of DC welding versus AC welding. |

| 2¡¢MedWeld 3005-3PH Welding Control |
| ¡¡¡¡The MedWeld 3005 welding control represents a new phase in resistance welding technology. The unit integrates a weld control with a programming controller located in the weld control enclosure. In three phase MedWeld 3005, a Firing Board Multiplexer (FBM) is installed to add three phase control capability for three phase DELTA firing of delta-connected DC power supplies or for three phase WYE firing of wye-connected DC power supplies. Multiple FBMs can be used with a single MedWeld 3005 processor to do three phase multi-contactor simultaneous welding. |
|
| 3¡¢Features |
1. Modular design for ease of maintenance
2. Functions for reading and monitoring analog inputs and executing analog outputs
3. Three phase WYE or three phase DELTA integration options
4. Freeform programmable Sequences
5. Dynamic power factor compensation
6. Dynamic Current Windows
7. Dynamic Squeeze Functions
8. C-factor monitoring ¨C useful in monitoring weld tool deterioration and current shunting |
